Saw a red "1" against DMs tonight. Clicked it and opened the DM which displayed ok. However, the 1 flag was still there. Had to hit the Firefox browser refresh for that to clear.
Note that this is the first time I've seen this glitch with this version of XF, so it might be hard to replicate. I know that 2.3.0 was prone to this. so it might be a hangover from that. This is a self hosted site and while I'm an admin, it's actually owned by @Feline Forums who will be qualified to answer...
